Regional Medical Science Lead - West Territory

Your mission

We are seeking a Regional Medical Science Lead for our West Coast territory as a senior field-based scientific expert responsible for strategic engagement with key opinion leaders, investigators, and academic centers within a defined geographic region with a focus on multiple sclerosis. You serve as the primary scientific interface between the leading experts in the medical community and Medical Affairs, facilitating high-level scientific dialogue, generating actionable insights, and supporting evidence generation initiatives. Your insights generated through field engagement will contribute directly to shaping medical strategy, research priorities, and development planning to advance scientific understanding and support the responsible development of Immunic’s investigational therapies. Please note, the ideal candidate resides in California or Colorado.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engage neurologists, neuroimmunologists, and other healthcare professionals in advanced scientific dialogue related to multiple sclerosis, neuroimmunology, and emerging therapeutic approaches
  • Respond to complex scientific questions from key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals with fair, balanced, and scientifically rigorous medical information
  • Develop and execute a strategic regional engagement plan aligned with Immunic’s objectives while understanding the competitive landscape
  • Build and lead team of field-employees to support dedicated Immunic MSL territory
  • Develop and execute prioritized engagement plans for leading MS clinicians, investigators, institutions, and professional societies
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with established and emerging thought leaders within the MS and neuroimmunology communities throughout the region
  • Translate field insights into actionable perspectives that inform medical strategy, development planning, and scientific communication
  • Proactively identify emerging scientific or clinical trends that may influence development strategy
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors and Scientific Communications to support publications and scientific dissemination related to ongoing or completed clinical studies
  • Conduct ongoing review of emerging literature and clinical data related to multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology
  • Represent Immunic at national and regional scientific congresses and provide advanced interpretation of emerging clinical data presented at congresses and in the literature
  • Support development and delivery of scientific presentations and educational materials

Your profile

  • Minimum of 8 years with an advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, NP/PA with strong research background)
  • Significant experience in neurology, neuroimmunology, or multiple sclerosis
  • Established relationships with MS thought leaders, investigators, and academic medical centers preferred
  • Prior experience engaging with clinical investigators and academic institutions in a field medical or research capacity
  • Strong scientific communication skills and ability to engage in high-level clinical discussions
  • Experience identifying research collaborations, clinical trial investigators, or evidence generation opportunities
